    Business Development Specialist

    Tropical Escape Vacation Homes is an industry leader in the Orlando vacation rental property management market. Founded in 2006, Tropical Escape specializes in luxury resort vacation homes.

    Our business is always growing, and we need a skilled Business Development Specialist to acquire and manage new client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing. In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our real estate agents, home owners, negotiating contracts and closing deals. We will rely on you to partner with our marketing department to conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan. Some international and domestic travel is required for this position.

    The Business Development Specialist reports directly the General Manager and CEO.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify potential clients in the target markets and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s needs
    • Develop relationships with prospective clients
    • Being the company "face" with our clients in the area with in person visits to builders and realtors.
    • Partner with marketing and executive teams to create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
    • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
    • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news
    • Be out in the field meeting and offering trainings to real estate brokers

    Requirements

    • Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
    • Bi or multi-lingual is a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Basic understanding of the industry, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
    • Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose solutions for clients
