    Job Overview

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to support enterprise reporting, data analysis, and performance measurement initiatives within a large, complex organization. This role is responsible for developing dashboards, analyzing operational and financial data, and providing actionable insights that support informed decision-making across departments.

    The Business Intelligence Analyst collaborates with business units, IT teams, finance, and leadership to translate data into meaningful reports and visualizations. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical proficiency, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple data requests in a structured and deadline-driven public-sector environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

    Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or related analytical roles
    • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction, and analysis
    • Experience developing dashboards and visual reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms
    • Experience working with large datasets from ERP, HRIS, financial, or operational systems
    • Demonstrated ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
    • Experience performing data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation processes
    • Ability to identify trends, anomalies, and performance insights within operational and financial data
    • Familiarity with KPI development and performance measurement frameworks
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, data modeling)
    • Ability to maintain data confidentiality and comply with internal governance standards

    Experience Preferences

    • Experience within a public-sector, governmental, transportation agency environment
    • Familiarity with transit operations, service performance metrics, or capital project reporting
    • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, or workforce analytics initiatives
    • Knowledge of basic data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
    • Experience using cloud-based analytics environments (e.g., Azure or similar platforms)
    • Relevant certifications in data analytics or business intelligence

    Physical Requirements

    • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
    • Ability to analyze detailed reports and datasets for sustained periods
    • Minimal physical exertion

    Education Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

    • Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
    • Professional certification in business intelligence, data analytics, or visualization tools
    • Continuing professional education in data modeling, analytics, or enterprise reporting tools
