About the Role
Our client, a respected and growing law firm, is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its dynamic team in Plano, TX. This is an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled litigator with a proven background in business and commercial disputes, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, and related litigation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex cases, advising clients, shaping litigation strategy, and mentoring colleagues, while contributing to the firm’s continued growth and reputation for excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Litigation & Strategy
Lead and support business litigation matters, including declaratory judgment actions, breach of contract, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and other commercial claims.
Develop case strategies, oversee motion practice, conduct legal research, and prepare trial materials.
Draft, review, and argue pleadings, motions, and briefs in state and federal courts.
Client Advisory
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients in complex or high-stakes matters.
Communicate case updates, risks, and strategic recommendations clearly and effectively.
Collaboration & Mentorship
Partner with colleagues and trial teams to deliver exceptional client service.
Mentor associates and contribute to firm-wide best practices.
Risk & Compliance
Ensure all litigation activities align with ethical standards, client obligations, and procedural requirements.
Proactively identify and advise on legal risks in ongoing and potential matters.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active Texas Bar License required.
7+ years of litigation experience, preferably focused on business/commercial matters.
Demonstrated success handling declaratory actions and complex civil litigation.
Exceptional research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Strong strategic thinker, able to work both independently and in a collaborative team setting.
Labor & Employment law experience is a plus.
