    Job Description

    A challenging opportunity with Family Head office in Financial Accounting and Reporting function. Candidate will be responsible for general ledger accounting and reconciliations for complex topics such as Cash-in-Bank, Fixed Assets, Intercompany, VAT Accounting, Lease accounting. Knowledge on multi-corporate accounting principles related to Trust funds and Management Service establishments will be an added advantage. Should be able to support other operating group members according to the needs in carrying out the responsibilities of the team. Key Responsibilities of this Role: * Should have at least 8 years of prior experience in General Ledger Accounting process. * Developing definition of chart of accounts and ensuring preparation of journal entries in accordance with corporate / organization structure and in line with US GAAP, Journal entry policy requirements. * Own end to end and deal with complex accounting topics like Real Estate Management services, Cash-in-Bank, Intercompany, Treasury Activities such as forward contracts, Fixed Asset accounting, VAT Accounting, Lease accounting will be added advantage. * Manages balance sheet accounts by reconciling transactions involving holding & subsidiaries accounts within the corporate structure, clients' accounts and vendors' accounts. * Ability to independently study the bylaws and terms applicable to the legal entities under accounting control so as to ensuring the financial books are maintained in accordance with those bylaws and rules. * Ability to deep dive with minimal support and resolve the reconciling items month over month. * Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules, plan, prioritize and absorb ad hoc activities in accordance with dynamic business requirements and ensure no deficiencies in the work performed. * Complete assistance during audit including but not limited to internal auditors and tax consultants by providing appropriate documentation / support. * Prepare monthly financial reports for submission to the Executive Management highlighting areas of concerns requiring management attention, such reports will include detailed analysis of actual income & expenses which may include analysis of non-financial quantitative data where necessary. * Evaluates, recommends, and implements changes to all processes impacting the GL to simplify while improving transparency. * Ability to learn quickly and lead independently with minimal supervision. * Thrive to maintain the most up to date process documents. * Advanced accounting and financial skills required. Hunger to apply accounting principles and practices. Experience in US GAAP concepts is must. * Hands on experience on accounting application software and associated work simplification experience is preferred. * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to be adaptable and flexible, meet deadlines and work well in a team. * Attention to detail and accuracy a must. What we're looking for * A CPA / ACCA with minimum 8 + years of experience in financial accounting * Thorough knowledge of financial accounting standards & principles * Expertise in Quickbooks or hand-on experience with similar financial accounting & reporting systems and strong Excel skills * Ability to work under pressure * Technical experience with accounting for multi-corporate structure environment can be an asset * Proven communication / presentation skills
