    Business Office Manager – Skilled Nursing Facility (South Side of Indianapolis)

    A skilled nursing facility located on the south side of Indianapolis is seeking an experienced and highly organized Business Office Manager to oversee the daily financial and administrative operations of the facility. This role is essential in ensuring accurate billing, efficient office processes, and excellent customer service for residents, families, and staff.

    The Business Office Manager serves as a key member of the facility leadership team and is responsible for managing accounts receivable, resident trust accounts, insurance billing, and financial recordkeeping while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.

    Key Responsibilities

    Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business office within the facility

    Manage Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing processes

    Monitor and maintain accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and follow-up

    Manage resident trust accounts and maintain accurate financial records

    Coordinate admissions financial paperwork and insurance verification

    Work closely with the admissions, clinical, and corporate teams to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement

    Prepare financial reports and maintain documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements

    Provide professional and compassionate customer service to residents and family members regarding billing and account questions

    Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and company policies related to financial operations

    Qualifications

    Prior experience as a Business Office Manager or Assistant Business Office Manager in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred

    Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and long-term care billing practices

    Experience with accounts receivable management and collections

    Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    Excellent communication and customer service abilities

    Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment

    Proficiency with electronic billing systems and Microsoft Office
