    Description

    A Business Operations Intern will focus on Cost of Care process efficiencies and improvement. The intern will play an integral role in supporting enterprise-wide initiatives to improve the quality, effectiveness, and cost-efficiency of healthcare services. This Intern will gain valuable hands-on experience in healthcare management, process improvement initiatives, and cost-management strategies.     How you will make an impact:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand the current Cost of Care processes and identify areas for improvement

    • Analyze current processes using data-driven techniques to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions

    • Support implementation of process improvement initiatives and measure their effectiveness

    • Assist in developing, managing, and updating project documentation, including progress reports, dashboards, and presentations

    • Contribute to the development of cost-efficient strategies and initiatives that align with the company's enterprise-wide goals

    • Collaborate with team members to further understand the industry and its challenges, focusing on how to deliver high-quality care while managing costs

    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and complete projects as assigned to support various department needs

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day for the duration of the summer internship program

    • Currently enrolled in a MBA, MPH, MPA, or Informatics graduate-level program at an accredited college/university.

    • Graduation date between August 2024 to May 2025.

    • Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements.

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, critical thinking, and organizational skills

    • Interest in healthcare, process improvement, project management, data analytics, and cost management

    • Ability to work both collaboratively in team settings and independently
