    We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Business Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our 503A Retail and Compounding Pharmacy in Albuquerque, NM. This individual will be responsible for optimizing workflow, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, managing cross-functional teams, and driving business performance. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare operations, preferably in pharmacy or compounding, and demonstrate leadership in managing people, processes, and projects to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence. Working Conditions: • Full-time on-site role, Monday through Friday, with occasional extended hours based on operational needs. • Work is performed in a pharmacy and office setting that requires frequent standing, walking, and interaction with staff and patients. Responsibilities: • Oversee daily operations of the 503A compounding and retail pharmacy to ensure efficiency, compliance, and high-quality service delivery. • Manage and mentor pharmacy technicians, administrative staff, and support roles to foster a high-performance, patient-centered culture. • Collaborate with pharmacists and quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations (e.g., USP <795>, <797>, <800>, DEA, and Board of Pharmacy guidelines). • Monitor inventory management systems and implement strategies to reduce waste, manage cost, and maintain appropriate stock levels. • Partner with leadership on business forecasting, budgeting, and key performance indicator (KPI) tracking. • Develop and enforce SOPs for workflows, staffing, and customer service to ensure consistent, compliant operations. • Lead process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing operational efficiency, patient satisfaction, and profitability. • Support new product and service line launches in alignment with strategic goals. • Serve as a liaison between pharmacy operations and corporate teams (HR, IT, Finance, Marketing). • Manage vendor relationships, facility upkeep, and technology systems supporting pharmacy operations Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field (required); MBA or related graduate degree (preferred). • 3–5 years of experience in operations management, preferably in a pharmacy, healthcare, or regulated environment. • Experience in compounding pharmacy operations or knowledge of 503A pharmacy requirements is highly preferred. • Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams. • Working knowledge of pharmacy compliance standards, inventory systems, and healthcare regulations. • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., PK Software, PioneerRx) is a plus.
