General Placement Service is assisting their client who is a large and prominent commercial lines insurance company in the search for a Business Operations Manager.
The Business Operations Manager leads process improvement, system performance, and compliance initiatives across shared service operations, with a focus on workers’ compensation. This role ensures business processes run efficiently, regulatory reporting remains accurate, and systems are optimized to support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily business operations to ensure alignment with strategic and compliance objectives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements.
- Monitor system functionality to ensure accuracy in compliance and regulatory reporting.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to enhance system capabilities and reporting tools.
- Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and KPIs to strengthen operational performance.
- Lead and coach team members, setting clear goals and fostering continuous development.
- Partner with HR and leadership on talent strategies that support engagement and performance.
- Drive change management initiatives to improve collaboration and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure consistent communication with internal teams, vendors, and business partners.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in business operations, process management, or compliance oversight.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience leading teams and driving organizational change.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and enterprise systems preferred.
