Overview
We are looking for a Business Analyst with a specialty in process stewardship to join our Consulting Team. This role is ideal for someone who combines sharp analytical instincts with cross-functional savvy. You are someone who thrives toggling between business strategy and operational detail, and who can bring structure to ambiguity across complex environments.
As a trusted contributor on client engagements, you will support business transformation by analyzing operations, documenting systems and workflows, and helping clients improve performance through better-aligned, governed, and sustainable processes. You'll partner closely with business, IT, and functional leaders to support end-to-end process excellence across people, tools, and data.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current-state business operations by interviewing stakeholders, reviewing documentation, and assessing systems to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas of misalignment with strategic goals. Your insights will inform future-state process models and targeted improvement opportunities.
- Translate qualitative and quantitative findings into well-structured business and functional requirements, helping both internal and client teams move from concept to execution with clarity and confidence.
- Partner with stakeholders across IT, business, and operations to understand the full scope of a process or initiative, ensuring that the underlying strategy, workflows, and metrics are aligned to enterprise priorities.
- Develop and maintain high-quality deliverables such as cost/benefit analyses, feasibility assessments, business cases, and implementation plans to help client teams make smart, data-driven decisions.
- Track operational performance by defining key metrics, building dashboards or scorecards, and interpreting trends—providing clients with actionable intelligence that supports ongoing improvement and accountability.
- Document business processes using tools like Visio or Lucidchart, ensuring clarity in how work flows, where responsibilities lie, and how outcomes are measured. You'll support audit, compliance, and training needs through consistent and rigorous documentation practices.
- Collaborate with Process Owners to improve business and IT service processes, including areas like service delivery, change and problem management, and performance monitoring—helping clients embed scalable and repeatable practices.
- Support the establishment of process governance structures by helping clients define roles, decision rights, and escalation paths, ensuring sustainable execution across functions.
- Act as a connector and facilitator across internal and client teams, ensuring alignment on project goals, timing, and stakeholder expectations—often serving as the steady hand across complex initiatives.
- Contribute to change enablement by preparing materials, sample scenarios, and communications that support training, onboarding, and adoption of new processes, systems, or tools.
- Maintain a working repository of templates, process maps, and enablement assets that can be leveraged across engagements to improve efficiency and promote knowledge reuse.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required (Business, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields)
- 5-8 years of experience in business analysis, consulting, operations, or process improvement
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve cross-functional processes in business or IT contexts
- Experience working with IT Service Management (ITSM), governance models, or enterprise transformation initiatives is a plus
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Fluent in Microsoft 365 (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint); experience with process and reporting tools such as Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow, or Jira is a plus
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, or similar methodologies a plus
- Highly organized and comfortable managing shifting priorities in dynamic client settings
