We have been exclusively retained by a well-established, vertically integrated food manufacturing organization as they are hiring a Business System Analyst – ERP & Manufacturing to help elevate how the business uses ERP and integrated applications.
This organization has been operating successfully for decades and is known locally for stability, quality, and long-term employee tenure. The company operates complex manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution workflows that rely heavily on ERP and integrated business systems.
This role is an opportunity to step into a visible, business-facing position where process ownership matters as much as system knowledge. The organization is intentionally shifting from reactive, break-fix application support toward a more disciplined, process-first operating model. For someone who enjoys asking “why” before touching configuration, this is a seat at the table role.
This is a full-time, direct-hire position based onsite in Lakeland, Florida.
The Role You’ll Play
This role serves as the connective tissue between business operations and ERP-enabled systems. Rather than simply reacting to tickets, this person leads discovery conversations, clarifies true business needs, and ensures ERP and application changes support end-to-end workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
Acting as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT for ERP and application-related needs
Leading process discovery before system changes are designed or implemented
Translating business workflows into ERP configuration, enhancement, or integration requirements
Partnering closely with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Quality teams
Coordinating with ERP consultants and vendors by providing clear business and process context
Reducing dependency on external consultants for basic troubleshooting
Supporting new application implementations and integrations
Monitoring system performance, data integrity, and downstream impact
Creating and maintaining clear documentation for systems, processes, and configurations
Background Profile:
The ideal candidate brings a blend of ERP system understanding and business process curiosity. They are comfortable working with manufacturing stakeholders, asking clarifying questions, and pushing back diplomatically when a request does not align with best practices.
ERP experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
Strong understanding of core ERP workflows such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory, and financial close
Experience working directly with business users and non-technical stakeholders
Ability to translate process needs into system-level solutions
Experience collaborating with third-party consultants or system integrators
Willingness to work onsite and engage directly with users
Nice-to-have experience:
Sage X3 exposure
Food or beverage manufacturing experience
Experience with AP automation or demand planning tools
Exposure to process improvement initiatives
