Our client is a fast-growing, nationally recognized educational music publisher serving K-12 band, choral, orchestra, and jazz programs across the country. Over the past seven years, the company has grown from a two-person startup into one of the most respected independent publishers in its space, with four distinct music brands operating under one umbrella.
The organization combines creative excellence with operational discipline. They work closely with national distribution partners, attend major industry conventions across the country, and support hundreds of composers whose work reaches schools nationwide.
As growth accelerates, they have exclusively retained our firm to hire a Business Systems & Applications Analyst to help optimize and scale their financial and operational systems. This role will play a critical part in improving reporting, refining workflows, strengthening system integrations, and preparing the company for future ERP evolution.
This is a full-time, direct-hire role based in Lakeland, FL, with hybrid flexibility.
The Role You’ll Play
You will serve as the internal systems liaison between Finance, Sales, Operations, and external technology partners. While the current environment includes QuickBooks Online Advanced, this role is much broader than system administration. You will help the organization better leverage its existing tools, improve reporting and automation, streamline order workflows, and ensure integrations between the website, distribution systems, and financial platform are functioning efficiently.
This role will grow alongside the company and may eventually help guide evaluation or migration to a more robust ERP platform as the business scales.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the internal subject matter resource for financial and operational systems
Optimize and enhance the use of QuickBooks Online Advanced without being limited to it
Improve reporting capabilities for sales, royalties, forecasting, and financial visibility

Partner with Sales leadership to improve order entry, discount structures, and wholesale workflows
Support and monitor integrations between website platforms, distribution partners, and financial systems
Manage user access, permissions, and system configuration updates
Re-authenticate and maintain integration tokens and security protocols as needed
Translate business requirements into system solutions and coordinate with external IT vendors
Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual Excel-based processes
Contribute to longer-term ERP planning and system scalability discussions
