The Business Systems Specialist is an integral role in Syntegon’s success in leading the world’s packaging machinery market.

    In this role, the business systems specialist will support, maintain, and enhance business systems for the New Richmond site by working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders and coordinating with other Syntegon sites to align with global standards and initiatives. Success in this role requires initiative and a continuous improvement mindset to be able to identify and drive positive changes within the site business systems for more efficient operations.

    Technical tasks and responsibilities:

    • Maintain, support, and enhance existing business systems (e.g., SAP, D365 PO, Tacton CPQ), and design and implement new solutions to replace or automate manual processes.
    • Develop custom code and BI solutions to enable effective reporting and meet evolving business needs.

    Leadership tasks and responsibilities:

    • Drive continuous improvement of New Richmond’s business systems and manage cross-functional change in collaboration with department leadership.
    • Train and support users to build system competency and ensure successful adoption across the organization.

    Strategic tasks and responsibilities:

    • Identify system gaps and inefficiencies in business system landscape, gather stakeholder feedback, and lead execution of effective solutions.
    • Advocate for New Richmond’s business needs in corporate initiatives to ensure standardized systems, including configurators, are optimized for local use.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    _ Basic Requirements:_

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering (or 7+ years of relevant experience)
    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • 3+ years of development experience with SAP

    _ Preferred Qualifications:_

    • Proven ability to write complex code and manage projects from initiation through implementation.
    • Experience with ERP/CRM and CPQ systems (preferably Tacton), including administration, support, and development.
    • Proficient in BI tools like Power BI for developing dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
    • Familiarity with additional programming languages and business processes such as manufacturing, sales, and accounting.
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Self-motivated, analytical, and effective at leading cross-functional initiatives and driving continuous improvement.

    Additional Information

    The expected compensation range for this position is between $110,000 - 130,000 annually.

    Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
