    The Business Systems Training Manager plays a critical leadership role in driving enterprise learning strategy. This team member leads a high-performing team of Training Specialists and Senior Training Specialists, ensuring that all training programs—particularly those related to business systems, operational tools, and enterprise applications—are effectively developed, executed, and aligned with company goals. As a strategic partner to cross-functional leaders, this manager leads training initiatives that improve system adoption, support organizational change, and promote operational excellence across the business. This role also serves as a thought leader in learning innovation, adult learning methodologies, and talent development strategy.

     

    Primary Objectives:

    Lead and Develop the Training Team:

    • Manage, mentor, and coach a team of trainers to ensure consistent and high-quality learning delivery and development experiences across the organization.

      Strategic Learning Partnership:

    • Collaborate with senior leaders, HR, and IT to assess business needs, identify capability gaps, and implement training strategies that enable system and process adoption.

      Drive Business System Enablement:

    • Oversee the design and execution of training initiatives related to all company business systems platforms, ensuring strong Team Member proficiency and user adoption.

      Learning Strategy and Innovation:

    • Develop and implement scalable, forward-thinking learning solutions that integrate with change management and business transformation efforts.

      Training Governance and Quality Assurance:

    • Establish standards, frameworks, and best practices for instructional design, training delivery, and learning evaluation across the team.

      Daily Responsibilities:

      Enterprise Training Strategy & Technology Execution:

    • Lead training strategy for the implementation, adoption, and ongoing use of enterprise technology—including business systems, Microsoft tools, collaboration platforms, hardware, and field technology.

      Program Management and Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Manage the planning, resourcing, and execution of learning programs in collaboration with project managers, IT teams, and business sponsors.

      Team Leadership and Talent Development:

    • Conduct ongoing performance reviews and professional development planning for team members.

      Learning Analytics and Reporting:

    • Establish and monitor learning KPIs; analyze data to iterate programs, communicate insights to leadership, and demonstrate training impact at the organizational level.
    • Training Team Workload Planning and Prioritization:
      Establish and maintain clear training team priorities by forecasting workload, allocating resources, and aligning team efforts with organizational initiatives and project timelines.

    Change Management and Business Readiness:

    • Act as a change agent and training advisor for system implementations, ensuring training efforts align with organizational readiness.

      Process Alignment and Content Maintenance:

    • Partner with IT and business units to ensure training materials remain up to date and align with current processes and workflows.

      LMS Oversight and Governance:

    • Oversee LMS structure, content hierarchy, permissions, and reporting in partnership with system administrators.

      Vendor and Technology Evaluation:

    • Evaluate and integrate third-party training tools, vendors, and platforms as needed.

      Internal Leadership and Cultural Engagement:

    • Serve as a visible leader in internal culture-building and Team Member engagement programs.

    Management Responsibilities:

    • Directly manages a team of 6–8 Training and Implementation professionals, including Senior and Specialist-level roles.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 7+ years of experience in corporate training, with at least 3 years in a management or team leadership role.
    • Proven track record of building and leading training programs for enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Salesforce, custom platforms).
    • Strong knowledge of instructional design methodologies, adult learning theory, and change enablement best practices.
    • Excellent leadership, coaching, and team development skills.
    • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical or complex information into simple, actionable training content.
    • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute complex training initiatives that involve multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals and operational readiness.
    • Proven ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement, aligning training efforts with business goals, project timelines, and executive priorities.
    • Demonstrated success leading training initiatives in dynamic, fast-paced environments, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, support organizational change, and drive enterprise-wide adoption.
    • Familiarity with LMS platforms, training analytics, and digital content development tools.

    Preferred Skills and Competencies:

    • Advanced credentials in training, instructional design, or change management (e.g., CPTD, ATD Master Trainer, Prosci Change Practitioner).
    • Background in homebuilding, real estate, or other distributed operational environments, particularly where systems training spans both field and corporate audiences.
