Business Travel Sales Manager
The Doubletree by Hilton Washington DC North/Gaithersburg is hiring a Business Travel Sales Manager. This is the perfect opportunity for an energetic hotel sales professional who loves the business travel market. Responsibilities: • Proactively solicit new corporate accounts, manage existing ones (consortia, government, direct), and grow revenue/room nights. • Develop and execute sales plans, analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and manage budgets for sales activities. • Build strong ties with corporate clients, travel managers, agencies (TMCs), and advisors through calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and events. • Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and sales blitzes; coordinate marketing campaigns. • Maintain sales systems (like CI/TY, TravelClick), track accounts, and provide progress reports. • Work with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to align strategies and ensure service delivery. Key Activities • Conducting outside sales calls, cold calls, and client entertainment. • Managing RFP processes (Lanyon, RFP Express) for corporate bids. • Hosting site inspections, FAM trips, and client events. • Negotiating contracts for rates and value-adds. • Developing promotions for shoulder days or specific segments. Qualifications: • Proven sales experience in hospitality, travel, or a related field (2-4+ years). • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Proficiency with sales CRM systems and market data analysis. • Ability to meet or exceed sales goals. Compensation: $65,000 - $70,000 yearly
