    Job Description

    ** Job Purpose:**

    The Business Affairs and Legal Assistant position under Terrace Studios/Access is expected to support the Director of Business and Legal Affairs, as well as the Legal and Clearance Departments with their day-to-day responsibilities on the show.

    ** Essential Responsibilities:**

    • General Administrative duties include: scheduling, copying, typing, filing, maintaining digital files, updating forms as necessary, and entering and maintaining data bases on multiple projects.
    • Coordinate meetings; maintain files and status reports for all aspects of office.
    • Maintain and organize license agreements.
    • Track and update Rights and Clearances vendor license agreement database.
    • Collaborate with Accounting to maintain and improve budget tracking.
    • Assist in tracking music usage and maintaining accurate cue sheets.
    • Prepare simple contract forms, including but not limited to the coordination and preparation of Materials Releases, Personal Appearance Releases and other production related documents.
    • Assist in communication with producers and business contacts.
    • Conduct research on request and maintain a general awareness of industry trends, entertainment news and social media, talent and competitive environment.
    • Will be a team player and cover for others as needed.
    • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    ** Basic Qualifications:**

    • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting high level Executive in Television Entertainment or commensurate experience.
    • Experience working with confidential information and must recognize need to maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Outlook and DocuSign.

    ** Desired Characteristics:**

    • Experience working in a fast-paced production and/or business & legal affairs environment.
    • Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills.
    • Flexible, personable, self-starter, and extremely detail-oriented with the ability to interface with all levels of Terrace/Access, NBCU staff and business contacts.
    • Ability to work well with others and collaborate across the organization to achieve goals.
    • Familiarity and interest in emerging technologies/ social media savvy.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    • Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA.
    • Must have work authorization to work in the United States.
    • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program

    Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of four days per week.

    This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
