    Job Summary

    Bussers at CALA Scottsdale support the service team by maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient dining room. This role ensures tables are cleared, reset, stocked, and ready for service at all times, contributing to the rhythm and flow of a high-volume, Japanese-American restaurant. Bussers work closely with servers, food runners, bartenders, and management to deliver a smooth and elevated guest experience.

    Service Support

    Clear, reset, and sanitize tables quickly and accurately.

    Maintain tableware, water service, and guest necessities throughout service.

    Assist servers and food runners with delivering food and beverages when needed.

    Support pre-bussing throughout the dining room to maintain cleanliness and flow.

    Refill water, replace silverware, and anticipate guest needs before they ask.

    Dining Room Operations

    Maintain cleanliness of server stations, trash bins, back service areas, and drink stations.

    Restock plates, glassware, rolls, linens, and utensils throughout the shift.

    Assist in keeping walkways, service alleys, and high-traffic areas organized and safe.

    Opening, Mid-Shift, & Closing Duties

    Set up and stock service stations, bussing areas, and backup supplies.

    Deep clean assigned sections and complete nightly reset.

    Follow KUZA cleaning procedures, sanitation practices, and nightly closing checklists.

    Skills & Qualifications

    Prior experience in a high-volume restaurant is preferred but not required.

    Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

    Strong attention to detail and willingness to support the entire FOH team.

    Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

    Must obtain an Arizona Food Handler Card.
