STANDARDS

PURPOSE
The dispensary associate is the backbone of the dispensary team and is responsible for facilitating the flow of customers and product at its most base level. An ideal candidate has extensive cannabis product knowledge and customer service experience. This Full or part time position is a great way to enter the cannabis industry and experience working in a state licensed cannabis facility. Dispensary associates will interact with customers at the counter, fulfill online orders, assist customers with check in, and/or help facilitate inventory control based on the needs of the business that day.
Associates at butter provide friendly and helpful customer service, guiding customers to the best cannabis products to fit their unique needs and desires, delivering a top tier experience. While doing so, a budtender must maintain compliance with all cannabis retail regulations and keep their work area and display cases clean and orderly.
Qualified applicants have retail sales and customer service experience. Cannabis industry experience is preferred, but not required. This is an entry level position that will allow an employee to experience all aspects of day to day operation of a dispensary with room to progress and specialize.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide quality customer service that encourages customer loyalty
- Educate customers and politely handle their questions, concerns, and complaints
- Operate point of sale software to complete sales
- Handle cash and debit payments
- Assist with opening and closing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain sales floor, including restocking merchandise and cleaning/organizing displays
- Meet team sales quotas and benchmarks
- Check in customers and direct them through the store
- Assist in inventory counts and inventory management
- Deliver curbside orders to customer vehicles quickly and efficiently
- Maintain and participate in an environment of fun professionalism

- Regulations require that incumbent be at least 21 years of age and able to work in a Michigan marijuana facility
- Experience with seed to sale systems and METRC a bonus

Education/Experience:
- Knowledgeable of cannabis basics including products, strains, and consumption methods
- Must be able to work well in a team based environment
- 1 Year retail sales or customer service experience, preferably in cannabis industry
- Friendly, personable, and service-oriented
- Passionate about learning and staying current on cannabis products and trends
- Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must pass any and all required background checks
Technological Skills:
