    Butterfly Staffing has a Direct Hire opportunity for an experienced Superintendent in Raleigh, NC. This is a pivotal role responsible for proactively planning, organizing, and directing day-to-day construction site operations. This includes crucial responsibilities in quality control, subcontractor coordination, budget adherence, and meeting project timelines.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide leadership and maintain communication within the field project team.
    • Act as the main point of contact for all on-site project activities.
    • Schedule and oversee daily construction activities to ensure timely completion in alignment with plans and specifications.
    • Ensure projects adhere to contractual and quality standards.
    • Establish and enforce job site and project security and quality control programs.
    • Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards, and track corrective actions.
    • Participate in preconstruction sessions to develop a realistic schedule and budget.
    • Facilitate weekly scheduled progress meetings with the Design Team and Trades.
    • Lead and enforce safety standards and requirements.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive site logistics plan.
    • Manage and coordinate all trade partners, including scheduling.
    • Bachelor’s degree in construction science or civil engineering or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or experience.
    • 10+ years of commercial construction experience as a superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor managing projects valued at $20mm+.
    • Mastery of building processes and best practices.
    • Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools, and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results.
    • Possess solid verbal and written communication skills and interact effectively with individuals at all levels.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs.

    Physical Demands and Work Environment

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work on-site at an active construction project where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.

    Performance of these duties will require physical ability to climb permanent and temporary stairs, use construction personnel hoists, ability to climb ladders and negotiate work areas under construction. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Performing this job will require the use of hands to fingers with the ability to handle, or feel objects, sit, talk, and hear. It will require the employee to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, and kneel. Employee must occasionally life and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    Travel to out-of-town projects is anticipated so employee should possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record in accordance with company Policy.
