Butterfly Staffing is currently seeking a top-notch Infrastructure Engineer for a prestigious banking client in Newport News, VA for this Direct Hire opportunity. This person will report directly to the Infrastructure Manager and play a vital role in ensuring the availability and performance of their primary and backup datacenters, as well as remote locations. You will be responsible for analyzing and implementing new infrastructure projects, maintaining compliance with change control processes, and serving as a technical expert across various technology domains.

Responsibilities:

• Apply working knowledge of Information and Cyber Security principles to maintain a secure working environment.
• Undertake and implement projects for new platforms, systems, and software with minimal direction, collaborating effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Analyze technical documentation and translate it into actionable steps.
• Identify and address gaps in redundancy and disaster recovery.
• Collaborate closely with IT staff to configure, support, and maintain a variety of network and communication devices and applications.
• Ensure enterprise-wide scalability and performance.
• Diagnose and resolve network, hardware, and software issues.
• Develop comprehensive network documentation and policies.
• Implement and refine enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Provide technical assistance to end-users and contribute to staff training efforts.
• Coordinate system migrations, upgrades, and implementations.
• Prepare documentation for ongoing support and maintenance of systems and infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• 15+ Years Information Technology Equivalent Work Experience
• 5+ Years of Financial Institution Experience
• 5-10 years of experience in Microsoft Active Directory domain environment, Server management, and Virtualization
• 5-10 years of experience working with WANs, LANs, VoIP, DLP, IPS, MPLS Networks, routers, switches, and firewalls.
