Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Buyer Assistant / Purchasing Assistant with strong organizational skills and a passion for product development. This position supports our lead Buyer with vendor management, purchase order processing, and sourcing — while also working directly with key retail accounts to ensure exceptional service and smooth order execution.
Key Responsibilities
· Support purchasing activities, including sourcing, cost negotiations, and supplier communication.
· Manage and track purchase orders from creation through delivery.
· Maintain production schedules and follow up with both domestic and overseas vendors.
· Work directly with select key retail accounts to provide order updates, resolve issues, and maintain positive customer relationships.
· Coordinate with the design team on product development, sampling, and approvals.
· Keep accurate records of vendor agreements, pricing, and product data.
· Partner with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure on-time shipments.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, or merchandising support.
· Experience in both vendor and customer account management preferred.
· Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP system experience is a plus.
· Background in home décor, furniture, or consumer goods preferred.
· Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus.
