General Summary
Performs a variety of routine and/or low dollar value buying/purchasing tasks.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)
- Responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, and/or services for the company *
- Reviews purchase requisitions *
- Places orders for supplies, etc. with approved suppliers *
- May assist with evaluation of bids and/or recommend suppliers.
- May coordinate with accounting department as needed to resolve questions on supplier’s invoices.
- Provides routine administrative support.
- May assist in research and negotiations with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications regarding minor purchases.

Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s preferred
- 1 year of experience
- Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database programs
- Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures
- Must be able to successfully pass a background investigation prior to start date
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous DoD Buyer experience
- Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint
