    Position Summary:

    The Buyer/Inventory Planner plays a key role in maintaining an efficient and cost-effective supply of materials, components, and products required for manufacturing operations. This position focuses on executing purchasing activities, monitoring inventory levels, supporting supply planning, and forecasting functions. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, and procurement teams to ensure material availability aligns with production needs, while meeting company objectives for inventory turnover, lead time, and cost.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

    • Execute raw material and component purchasing through NetSuite or equivalent ERP system.
    • Monitor inventory levels and generate purchase orders based on material requirements planning (MRP), forecasts, and historical consumption data.
    • Research and evaluate suppliers to identify cost-effective options that meet quality and delivery requirements.
    • Maintain accurate purchase order and supplier records, including pricing, lead times, and availability.
    • Assist in resolving invoice discrepancies, delivery delays, or quality issues in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.
    • Forecast material demand in collaboration with planning and production teams, adjusting purchasing plans accordingly.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support production timelines and avoid stockouts or overstock scenarios.
    • Support supplier onboarding by entering new vendor information into the ERP system; maintain current supplier data including item descriptions and pricing.
    • Track and maintain key inventory planning metrics (e.g., inventory turns, stock accuracy, on-time delivery).
    • Contribute to the documentation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) within procurement and forecasting processes.
    • Assist with the implementation of cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement opportunities related to procurement and planning.

    QUALIFICATIONS :

    • 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain planning (manufacturing experience preferred).
    • Associate’s degree or higher in supply chain, business, operations, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
    • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite preferred).
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Analytical thinker with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

    The compensation for this position is $78,000 USD - $80,000 USD

    This position is fully on-site at our Woodland, WA facility.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; kneel; talk; or hear, and hand grip. The employee may frequently lift, pull or push and /or move more than 50 pounds. Frequently use a copier, scanner, fax machine, phone, and computer equipment. Specific hearing levels within normal/average range.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to inside cold or heat weather conditions; the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
