As a Buyer/Planner at A&D, you will play a critical role in ensuring smooth communication between the production floor and customers while maintaining efficient procurement processes and production schedules. You will be responsible for managing open order reports, responding to customer inquiries, and coordinating with production and logistics to ensure timely and accurate deliveries. Your focus on customer satisfaction, organizational efficiency, and clear communication will help ensure A&D maintains its reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Communication:

* Serve as the primary liaison between customers and the production floor, providing timely updates and addressing inquiries.
* Respond to customer emails within 24 to 48 hours, ensuring prompt and accurate information is shared.
* Maintain open order reports, reviewing them regularly to ensure alignment with customer expectations.

• Procurement and Supplier Management:

* Source and purchase tooling, materials, and supplies needed for production.
* Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost and delivery.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliability.

• Production and Logistics Coordination:

* Collaborate with production teams to create and manage schedules, ensuring on-time and cost-effective delivery of products.
* Ensure all customer-required checklists, prints, and documentation are available and provided to production staff.
* Coordinate with logistics to manage daily shipments, ensuring they meet customer requirements.

• Inventory and Order Management:

* Monitor inventory levels and evaluate MRP to ensure all Bill of Materials (BOM) items are available and on time.
* Run shortage reports regularly to address any potential delays proactively.

• Performance Monitoring and Continuous Improvement:

* Track key performance metrics such as profitability, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction, and implement improvements as needed.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases, deliveries, and supplier agreements for transparency and audit readiness.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year experience
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to managing schedules and inventory.
• Familiarity with MRP systems, supply chain management, and production planning.
• A customer-focused mindset with the ability to address concerns promptly and professionally.
