  • Responsibilities

    Role Summary: Buyer/Planner Responsible for purchasing materials and planning production to meet customer demand efficiently. Combines procurement and production scheduling, based on sales and inventory forecasts.

    Key Responsibilities

    Purchasing & Supplier Coordination

    Place purchase orders based on inventory needs and forecast.

    Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery and quality.

    Resolve delivery issues, invoice discrepancies, and quality concerns.

    Production Planning & Inventory Control

    Monitor inventory to avoid shortages or overstock.

    Create and manage production schedules aligned with forecasts.

    Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure smooth operations.

    Identify process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs.

    Data & Reporting

    Track KPIs such as supplier performance and delivery metrics.

    Provide regular updates on purchasing and production status.

    Analyze supply chain data to support continuous improvement.

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    Coordinate with sales, engineering, finance, and logistics teams.

    Communicate changes in supply or production plans clearly and promptly.

    Qualifications & Skills

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or similar.

    Experience: 5–10 years in combined planning and purchasing roles.

    Tools: Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Excel.

    Certifications: APICS CPIM or similar preferred.
