    Buzzer is seeking a part-time temporary Editorial Associate to join the team for approximately 6 months (with the opportunity for a full-time role based on performance and business needs). This is an hourly, employment at-will position reporting to the Go-to-Market Lead and will work closely with the social media, operations, product and marketing team. Due to the nature of sports, this position will require some night and weekend shifts. At least 50% of shifts will be on the weekend and at night.

    This is an hourly position reporting to the lead for Go-To-Market and will work closely with the product and marketing teams. Buzzer is presently a fully distributed team, which will require this individual to be collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working remotely. 

    In this role you will:

    • Act as the voice of Buzzer while engaging with current & potential users across all primary social and digital channels, in addition to the Buzzer mobile app

    • Use product capabilities to drive downloads & engagement of Buzzer and grow our active user base

    • Continuously look for ways to surprise and delight our customers to improve retention

    • Watch sports games on a nightly basis and ensure that the biggest storylines in the league are followed and discussed on all Buzzer channels

    • Identify and escalate issues via social in order to appropriately ensure rapid response to emerging trends and opportunities

    • Regularly use and test our app across various platforms to ensure up to date knowledge

     

    Required Qualifications

    • You have prior experience creating and managing public accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Reddit and Discord

    • You are a massive sports fan who considers watching multiple games an easy task for a weeknight

    • You are experienced in working with mobile platforms and understand the basic principles for how to drive downloads and user engagement for mobile apps

    • You are a highly goal-oriented individual and have excellent communication skills, especially given our team is distributed

    • You are open minded, curious and a strong problem solver

    • You are passionate about sports and believe in their value in bringing people together

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous experience working in a sports-related industry. 

    • Previous experience at a start-up and or technology company.
