Drivers are key contributors to our organization. Our valued drivers are responsible for servicing septic system issues, including septic tank pump-outs for residential and commercial accounts. Our drivers directly interact with Bynum Septic customers in identifying potential system issues. They perform pump-outs of 1000 and 1500-gallon tanks and provide various other system maintenance services. The role involves pumping, transporting, and disposal of non-hazardous waste. Responsibilities include safely operating a company service truck as well as the transport of heavy earth-moving equipment to job sites. Drivers will have the opportunity to learn a variety of skills and roles such as installation of new septic tanks, service lines, and drain fields. The ability to operate an excavator and skid-steer operation is a must. Responsibilities: • Follow safety rules and exercise safe work practices in accordance with State and Federal OSHA / DOT requirements. • Prepare your vehicle for each service job to maximize efficiency (Stock all needed parts, supplies & tools, etc. for all daily assignments). Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip maintenance checks and required minor vehicle services. (check fluids, tire pressure, etc.) • Engage in positive and professional customer interaction while at the work site to ensure complete customer service satisfaction. • Be prepared to observe and note potentially defective septic system components, excessive system build-up, and/or recommended system improvements or maintenance services to restore the customer’s system to full functionality. • Be prepared to recommend adequate maintenance service frequency to the customer. • Be willing to learn to complete and submit quotes, invoices, and service documentation (Jobber app) to Bynum Septic management in a timely manner, as required. • Be prepared to respond to trouble/emergency calls in a timely manner. Work Environment: • You are regularly exposed to outside weather conditions and non-volatile fumes. • Must be comfortable working independently under minimal supervision. • Must be able to engage with customers in a polite and professional manner. Qualifications: • Must have a valid commercial driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and a clean MVR. • Must hold a CDL – (Class B or Class A ) with the ability and willingness to obtain a tanker endorsement if requested. • At least 21 years of age. • Must be able to meet a DOT physical demands evaluation. • At least one year of professional commercial driving experience (post-school). • Ability to successfully Diagnose the following types of systems; Chamber system, Drip system and Eljen, and have the knowledge to repair them. • Ability to understand and interpret work documents including Company policies and procedures, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, maps and road signs. • Ability to speak, cooperate and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and management. • Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet deadlines and job completion expectations. • Basic computer and device literacy including texting, email, and internet skills. • Ability to perform basic math functions. Compensation: $70,000 - $130,000 yearly
