C+A Global is searching for a Compliance Specialist. This position is responsible for ensuring that the company’s products are imported, marketed and distributed in compliance with state and federal regulations and guidelines, including those issued by the DOE, CPSC, and the state of California like CEC and CARB, while meeting business needs in the most efficient manner. The Compliance Specialist works closely with the General Counsel to ensure that the company’s business and product policies are properly implemented. This is a great opportunity to work 40 hours a week and disconnect at the end of each day.
Main Essential Duties and Functions of Job Position (but not limited to):
1. Report to General Counsel on matters affecting product compliance with laws, regulations and company policies
2. Review product manuals, packaging, dedicated websites/product listings and promotional materials to ensure compliance with company policies prior to release of products
3. Liaise with online platforms, customers, manufacturers, and laboratories on compliance matters
3. Prepare, monitor and submit required reports to regulatory agencies
4. Develop, implement and maintain quality systems, policies, and procedures of the company
5. Manage processes to detect, document and execute opportunities for quality improvement
6. Provide leadership in the development of regulatory strategies for development of new products or modifications of products consistent with business objectives
Qualifications:
· Skilled at understanding US and State level regulatory requirements and standards for development, validation, manufacture, marketing and distribution of various consumer products, including electronics, appliances, pet and children’s products
· Understanding of international regulatory requirements is a plus
· Directly engages with internal functions and vendors to identify root cause of any regulatory compliance risks and establishes corrective plan and execution
· Ability to effectively communicate, coordinate and interact with upper management, managers and personnel within other departments
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
· Thorough, organized and attention to detail
Requirements:
· Skilled at understanding Federal and State level regulatory requirements and standards for consumer products
· Highly organized with a keen eye for detail
· Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US
· Must be able to read, write and speak English
· Must pass a Background Check
