    Job Description

    Our company is currently seeking ​a Payroll Administrator that can also aid in Office Administrator/Employee Resource duties.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Payroll Inputting; Processing and Reporting, Weekly
    • Worker's Comp Reporting, Weekly
    • Union Employee Benefit Reporting, Weekly
    • Employee Hours for Job Costing Data Entry, Daily
    • Employee File handling, upkeeping
    • New Employee Coordination; trainings/scheduling/filing EDD information, etc.
    • Company Driver Files- Oversee BIT Program (Maintain Driver Files for all drivers)
    • Contact between Human Resource and Employees
    • Maintaining payroll information by collating, calculating and entering data
    • Updating payroll records by entering any changes to employee information or benefits such as job title changes, exemptions and saving deductions
    • Preparing reports that include summaries of earnings, tax deductions, leave, compassionate leave and non-taxable wages
    • Confirming reports of payroll liabilities by double checking deductions and payments are correct for employee taxes, including federal and state income and social security tax, and employer’s payments for social security, unemployment and worker’s compensation and all garnishments
    • Resolving payroll discrepancies and answering any employee payroll queries
    • Maintaining all payroll operations according to company policies and procedures
    • Processing and issuing W-2 and DE 4 forms to employees
    • Coordinate all new hire data entry with DOT Drug and Alcohol Program Administrator; maintain DOT Driver Files
    • Workers' Comp Claims Processing (Data gathering, file maintaining)
    • Employee contact for all Garnishments, Work Comp Claims, illness and injuries, Class A Driver Information

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Previous experience with California Payroll (2years minimum)
    • Office Administration (2years minimum)
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Deadline and detail-oriented
    • QuickBooks Software knowledge, Ideal.
    • Payroll, California Law/requirements, Experience in entering- Min.3yrs.
    • Ability to flexible Hours as needed.
    • HR fundamentals understanding, Min.1 yr
    • Workers' Comp experience

    BONUS QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Knowledge in Union Affiliations and Contracts (IBEW1245 Union Affiliation)
    • DOT Policies and knowledge (BIT Program understanding)

    WEEKLY SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday
