Why CE Borman & Associates? • Hybrid position with preset hours! • Serve clients with results-driven strategies within a team atmosphere • Autonomy with the help of a knowledgeable staff for your cases • Company-offered medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and your family • $50K life insurance policy • A hefty vacation/PTO package • The chance to save for the future with an IRA plan without a required match Responsibilities: • Responsible for the competent provision of legal services, from inception to trial, including legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery • Develop & execute legal strategies and advise clients regarding their best legal interests, serving as a lead contact between the firm and the clients • Represent clients at mediation, deposition, trials, and hearings • Consult with & prep clients, experts, providers, attorneys, witnesses & other parties for depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials • Assisting with training personnel • Oversee, counsel, guide, train, and mentor Junior Associates and Contract Attorneys, including assigning work and monitoring work product. • Assist with marketing, networking by attending functions, writing articles, and speaking engagements Qualifications: • Be licensed to practice law in Texas and in good standing with Texas Bar • 5+ years family law legal experience (first chair experience in 20+ contested property and 20+ contested custody bench trials) • Graduate of an accredited law school- Juris Doctorate • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar • Ability to promote yourself as a skilled family law litigator • Strong work ethic • A positive attitude with a perspective of challenges are growth opportunities • Knowledge of basic use of computers and the desire to learn new things that will make your jobs easier.
