    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Vice President, Sales & Marketing role is key to C.R. England’s success in the protection of current business while also identifying and developing growth opportunities in support of all corporate and division goals.

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Lead the development and execution of C.R. England sales and marketing strategies, objectives, policies, processes, and activities in support of corporate and division objectives
    • Ongoing identification and analysis of new business and organic growth opportunities
    • Accountability for appropriate cost of sales and marketing budgeting and results
    • Plan and coordinate public relations and communication activities
    • Represent C.R. England at various community and business settings to promote positive relations with customers, vendors, drivers, employees, and the communities we serve
    • Supervise the preparation and delivery of sales and marketing materials, exhibits and promotion activities
    • Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate all sales and marketing staff
    • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas of company operations
    • Demonstrate transportation industry expertise and ongoing professional development
    • Demonstrate pricing expertise and collaborate with division leaders to develop and execute appropriate pricing strategies, plans and activities
    • Ongoing leadership regarding commitment management to ensure both C.R. England and customers consistently meet expectations regarding volume, revenue, service and price metrics
    • Effective leadership and collaboration with C.R. England teammates across the company, including sales, marketing, billing, customer service, network management, contract management, pricing, operations, etc.
    • Leadership with regards to development and communication of all division needs as defined by Network Sales Goals (NSG’s) and other Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and direct C.R. England efforts to consistently improve performance for each metric
    • Leadership to ensure understanding and communication regarding all customer-specific expectations related to service, load tender acceptance, price, etc. and direct C.R. England efforts to consistently meet or exceed those expectations.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS MAY INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
    • Applicable experience in sales, business development, customer service and/or transportation
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Adapt quickly to changing market conditions and priorities
    • Provide a professional, quiet home office setting
    • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensure they are communicated and adhered to by sales and marketing staff
    • Effectively utilize software (including Microsoft Office suite, reporting tools, CRM) to concurrently manage multiple tasks and challenges, often with frequent interruptions while meeting tight timelines, including contract management, rate publication and action item follow-up
    • Excellent organizational skills
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Ability to quickly understand and leverage commercial data
    • Ability to travel as necessary (40-60%+, depending on circumstances)
    • Champion continuous improvement, including ongoing and active 4DX participation

England services include National, Mexico, and Regional Truckload service in addition to Dedicated and Intermodal services. The company has facilities throughout the United States as well as in Mexico. This position will focus exclusively on U.S. facilities.
