Our client is seeking General Managers in the Dallas-Fort Worth areas. Come join a great management team of a fast growing family restaurant chain expanding throughout Texas. As a GM in the organization, you will be fully empowered to focus on every detail of the business from employee training and development to customer care to managing costs. Our client’s focus is on their associates first as they feel that if the associates are well trained and well cared for, everything else will fall into place. RESPONSIBILITIES • Overall responsibility for a single full-service restaurant with flexibility to float to other restaurants in the county on an as-needed basis • Manage staff (hire, schedule, assist in training, handle personnel issues, etc.) • Ensure policies and procedures are upheld • Ensure store cleanliness and general upkeep • Participate in sales efforts • Other tasks as needed to run a successful unit • Strong understanding of local store marketing and community involvement DESIRABLE TRAITS • #1 desirable trait is HIGH ENERGY • Should be: innovative, proactive, dedicated, observant and intuitive, and multi-tasking • Should be actively involved in all day-to-day operations, hands-on, roll-up-sleeves and pitch in both front-of-house and back-of-house, attacks tasks with a sense of urgency and acts with confidence knowing that the owners have empowered the GM as if s/he were an owner; must “work smart” • Strong BOH with scratch kitchen experience is strongly desired • Although college is not required, some college is preferred, especially in business and/or hospitality areas of study • Client will not accept: felonies (ask re: misdemeanors), any DUI in past 5 years, bankruptcies that are not yet discharged, visible tattoos or piercings, earrings on men (earrings okay on women), ear gauges • Men may have groomed beards; ladies and men are expected to have well-manicured/maintained finger nails • Business attire is always worn by General and Assistant Managers BENEFITS • Health, dental and vision benefits available after 60 days of employment • $3,000/quarter bonus potential paid off of sales and costs targets • 2 weeks of vacation after one year, 3 weeks at 10 years • 2 consecutive days off/week • 8 paid personal days off per year (closed Thanksgiving and Christmas) • 12-week MIT program – 8 weeks of kitchen station-by-station, 2 weeks of FOH, 2 weeks of management • Additional professional development upon placement QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS • Must have prior management experience in a full-service concept with annualized sales of at least $1.5 million • Must have worked as a salaried manager for at least 4 years • Must be at least 21 years of age • Must have full flexibility with your schedule • Must have good tenure (no more than 2 jobs in past 5 years, 3 jobs in 9 years) and show career progression
