POSITION TITLE: Web Developer

LOCATION:

• Pentagon

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3 - 5 years SharePoint Development experience

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Potential to telecommute; however, must be able to be on site immediately as required.
• Developer works with Knowledge Management Team to drive knowledge transfer across the organization through maximizing the utilization of existing systems and available resources, such as but not limited to SharePoint.
• Developer will participate in evaluation, design, integration, documentation, and development of a SharePoint infrastructure supporting the USMC at the Pentagon.
• Developer must possess array of functional knowledge supporting global SharePoint operations and developments at multiple sites.
• Developer will be responsible for designing, building and maintaining significant SharePoint 2013/2016 enterprise applications.
• Provide core and shared infrastructure services application development and maintenance services.
• Implement IM/KM services to expand information sharing throughout USMC, add, modify, and delete functionality based on client requirements, upgrade and support tools as newer versions are released, improve application and Web performance, and migrate legacy applications and Web services to core and shared infrastructure services.
• Assist with developing SOPs and documentation for systems and processes.
• Troubleshoot SharePoint issues for other users if applicable.
• Maintain and updated SharePoint applications.
• Provide application and systems training to staff and customers.

EDUCATION:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology related field (preferred; not required); or
• Certification listed above accepted in lieu of higher education; and
• Experience equal to degree level

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Knowledge of relational databases and database design

• Strong fundamentals in HTML / CSS and JavaScript.

• Enterprise level experience with a front-end framework (Vue, React, Angular)

• Comfortable with GIT version control technology and modern git flow.

• Knowledge of Agile / Scrum process for software development

• Understanding of modern software lifecycle development process

• Ability to use REST APIs and handle JSON response data using JavaScript.

• Extensive experience using SharePoint 2013 and 2016, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint online, SharePoint Add-ins, Remote Blob Storage, cloud services and technologies.

• Extensive experience using JavaScript, REST, HTML, CSS, AJAX, JSON, JQUery, Vue, and Boostrap

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, SourceTree and other project management, collaboration, and developer tools.

• High-level coding skills.

• Ability to solve complex application and software issues.

• Ability to project manage and lead development teams.

• Ability to multi-task.

• Ability to write documentation/SOPs, stored procedures.

• Ability to write complex queries (SQL) and ability to analyze the SQLdata is desired.

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus.

• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables.

• Creative thinker, detail orientated, and self-motivated.

• Can work independently, communicate well verbally and in writing, prioritize and see tasks through to completion with minimal supervision.

• Must be well able to brainstorm with others, thrive in a collaborative team environment, and quickly adapt to change.
