    JOB DESCRIPTION

    This Company is seeking an exceptional Aerodynamic Turbomachinery Engineer to develop turbomachinery designs for radial and axial compressors, pumps and turbines.

    Perform several clean-sheet turbomachinery design projects at a time. Example turbomachine design projects include fuel pumps for the next-generation rocket turbo pumps, gas turbine engines, advanced diffuser technology, innovative turbocharger technology, modular hydroturbines and more.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required. PhD in the field of Fluid Dynamics preferred.
    • 3 years of experience in the field of turbomachinery design/analysis.
    • Proficient in the use of CFD tools to analyze compressible and/or incompressible fluids.
    • Must be US citizen or US permanent resident.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Lead and/or contribute to the aerodynamics design of turbomachinery systems using a combination of advanced meanline and CFD tools.
    • Collaborate with other engineering staff to design, build and test turbomachinery systems.
    • Work with customers to ensure our services meet and exceed their expectations.
    • Responsible for completing engineering projects on schedule and within budget.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Ability to perform mechanical analysis using FEA tools is a plus.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Proven ability to drive change, manage conflict, and achieve results.
    • Work with a team of world-class experts in turbomachinery and highly capable support staff in other business units.
    • Apply engineering principles in statics, dynamics, fluid flow, heat transfer, and mechanical design to aid in the development of turbomachinery hardware, and other specialized products.
