    LEAD FABRICATOR / CNC Vertical Mill Programmer

    Custom manufacturing company located in New Castle, DE, is seeking a well-rounded HANDS-ON Lead Fabricator to head up our CNC Department. Candidate will be responsible for writing G & M code, manipulation of g & m codes at machines, experience with current programming software & operating CNC Vertical Mills (Haas VF-10, VF-4, VF-3 & Fadal) and fabrication of custom steel, aluminum and wood products. Full time day shift position. Attractive salary and benefits package.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • CNC programming, set up & operation of CNC Vertical Mills for standard & custom parts • Set-up and break-down of machining centers as well as scheduling PM and cleaning • Knowledge of trouble shooting machines • Create schedules for machining centers based on production schedule • Train and oversee machine operators • Must be familiar with steel and aluminum • Work on other shop equipment such as manual mills, press-brake, saws, lathe, drills, etc. • Draw, read and interpret prints, plans, sketches, and shop drawings. • Work with designers and management to achieve customers' satisfaction. • Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality • Responding to quick turnaround orders; Some overtime required • Performing well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment • Maintain clean equipment and work area • Forklift certified preferred • Perform related duties, as assigned

    Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:

    • Trade school graduate, or equivalent. • 5+ years of programming experience with CNC Vertical Machining Centers • Knowledge of Auto CAD and/or Solidworks • Knowledge of wood & Plexiglas a plus • Strong knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment. • Ability to ACCURATELY read tape measure & blueprints and translate into fabricated products using fractions & decimal places • Experience with Laminates and veneers a plus • Must have reliable transportation • Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job, including lifting up to 75 lbs.
