    Employment Type: Full-Time
    Compensation: $70,000 – $100,000 (based on experience)
    Benefits Eligibility: After 60 days

    Description

We’re seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled CAD Production Drafter / Engineer to bridge the gap between design and manufacturing. You’ll be responsible for translating complex cabinet and millwork designs into precise, machine-ready production files — ensuring accuracy, consistency, and manufacturability at every stage.

This position plays a key role in standardizing production workflows, supporting engineering documentation, and coordinating with internal and overseas drafting resources as the department continues to grow.

    Requirements

    • 2–5 years of experience in CAD drafting, millwork engineering, or production design.
    • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software (AutoCAD or equivalent).
    • Ability to produce precise, buildable shop drawings from architectural or conceptual designs.
    • Understanding of cabinetry construction methods, joinery, and woodworking techniques.
    • Familiarity with CNC manufacturing, nesting, and panel processing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on execution.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
    • Knowledge of hardware systems (e.g., BLUM, Häfele) and standard installation methods.
    • Preferred: Experience preparing CNC programs, using CAM/Nesting software, or working on architectural markups and redlines.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare detailed shop drawings, part lists, and engineering documentation from architectural plans or design sketches.
    • Create and manage machine-ready CNC files, including DXF layouts, nesting, and toolpath outputs.
    • Translate design intent into accurate, buildable cabinetry and millwork components.
    • Coordinate closely with project managers, CNC operators, and production teams to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
    • Specify required hardware, accessories, and components per standard systems.
    • Maintain and organize drawing libraries and support standardization of construction methods.
    • Participate in design reviews and assist with technical issue resolution during fabrication.
    • Identify and implement improvements in CAD-to-production workflows.
    • As the department expands, assist in onboarding and managing additional CAD personnel, including overseas collaborators.

    Benefits

After 60 days of employment, employees are eligible for a full benefits package, including:
    • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
    • Paid time off and holidays
    • 401(k) with company match
    • Employee discounts
    • Training and professional growth opportunities
    • Supportive, detail-oriented, and collaborative work environment

    Final Invitation to Apply

This is an exciting opportunity for a precise and ambitious CAD professional who thrives on turning design concepts into production reality. If you take pride in accuracy, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement, we’d love to hear from you.
