A respected and growing engineering firm is seeking a detail-driven CAD Technician to support water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Warrington, PA. In this role, you’ll transform survey data into precise pipeline alignments, mechanical piping layouts, and construction-ready drawing sets that move critical municipal projects from concept to construction. Your work will directly support public health, environmental protection, and the infrastructure systems that keep communities flowing and thriving.

Your Day-to-Day

• Develop pipeline alignments and profiles for water mains, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers

• Draft plan and profile markups and detailed site plans

• Prepare and assemble drawing sets in compliance with U.S. National CAD and company standards

• Create mechanical piping layouts for sewage pump stations, wastewater treatment plants, and booster stations

• Integrate survey data into accurate, standards-compliant technical drawings

• Identify and resolve drawing inconsistencies before construction

• Communicate project status to maintain schedules and deadlines

• Collaborate with the CAD team to improve workflows and troubleshoot software challenges

Projects may include:

• Linear pipeline systems (water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer)

• Mechanical piping systems for pump stations

• Wastewater treatment plants

• Water treatment and booster stations

• Public works infrastructure in partnership with Municipal Services

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of utility pipeline drafting or related experience

• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Experience creating pipeline alignments and profiles

• Ability to prepare mechanical drawings

• Strong attention to detail in technical drafting

• Highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Self-motivated team player eager to learn new technologies

Preferred Skills:

• Experience creating and manipulating surfaces

• Familiarity with AutoCAD Pipes Routine

• Survey data integration using Autoline

• Ability to assemble mechanical piping systems from published data

• Experience producing building plans, sections, elevations, and details
