    Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, APU is looking for a dynamic and creative Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. This Recruiter will be responsible for overseeing the full recruitment cycle for all open positions at all levels within the University, with a special emphasis on student recruitment and hiring. Responsibilities include serving as a talent partner with various levels of leadership to proactively identify hiring requirements. The Recruiter will identify talent, conduct initial interviews, and manage candidates through the interview process. Additionally, the Recruiter will work with hiring managers to develop and recommend recruiting strategies to ensure positions are filled in a given time frame. Finally, the Recruiter will consults with hiring managers on staffing and recruitment policies, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and APU guidelines.

    Required Education

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

    Required Experience

    • Two or more years of HR recruitment or relevant experience.
    • Higher education background a plus.
    • Knowledge of diversity hiring initiatives.

    Primary Duties/Essential Functions

    • Establishes recruiting requirements by meeting with or scheduling phone calls with managers to discuss recruitment needs.
    • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements using job boards and specialty sites.
    • Utilizes social media forums and career fairs, and develops other creative methods to locate talent.
    • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications and makes appropriate recommendations.
    • Reviews applications in applicant tracking system and initiates the onboarding process for new hires.
    • Reviews job postings in Handshake to ensure University is in compliance with standards for federal student aid.
    • Determines applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses, and comparing qualifications to job criteria.
    • Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers; interviews applicants on identified set of qualifications.
    • Highlights organization attractiveness by emphasizing APU benefits and other perks.
    • Avoids legal challenges by understanding relevant employment laws and enforcing them as needed with hiring managers.
    • Updates job knowledge by reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional associations as appropriate.
    • Responsible for updating applicant tracking system and generating reports, and troubleshooting questions from employees related to timekeeping, payroll, and onboarding.
    • Ensures a positive candidate experience by effectively communicating onboarding tasks.
    • Generates and routes position offer letters to final candidates.
    • Facilitates New Employee Orientation, as well as student and supervisor training.
    • Regular, punctual attendance as required by the supervisor based on department needs.
    • Processes employment status changes, including new hires, pay adjustments, and terminations in human resources management database
    • Works with HR Business Partners on student employee grievances and other workplace complaints to ensure a positive student experience.
    • Initiates onboarding events through Silkroad for student employees, and generates and reviews reports to ensure compliance.
    • Maintains and updates human resources documents, such as student employee handbook and performance evaluation
    • Participates in meetings involving a range of issues related to student
    • Supervisors a team of student employees
    • Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

    Technologies

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software.
    • Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems and HRIS preferred.
    • Familiar with professional social media platforms such as LinkedIn.

    Compensation

    • Grade 10: $25.94 to $29.83
    • Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

    Essential Functions

    • Help administer project safety program to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
    • Helps provide technical assistance on the project, interprets contract drawings and submittals
    • Assist assistant superintendent, project superintendent, and project manager with daily and weekly tasks including daily reports, daily safety walks, weekly quantity reports, and weekly schedule updates
    • Understand the project schedule and the critical path
    • Review content for the short-term plan
    • Participate in the quality program including attending meetings, performing inspections, and verifying materials
