    CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking an Operational Planner to join our dynamic team in MCAS Miramar, CA.

     

    The candidate will monitor and reviews strategies, doctrine, policies, directives, and instructions and makes recommendations to ensure compliance and/or consideration in planning efforts. Develops plans and orders through the application of operational art and operational design within the milestones, deliverables and interaction points. Develops briefings, transitioning concepts to execution, and assist in the coordination of joint operational planning in support of training, exercises, combat, and contingency plans and operations. Develops and integrates cyberspace capabilities into deliberate, contingency, operation, and crisis action planning. May support amphibious planning operations.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    (1) Provide an ad hoc analytic capability (i.e., subject matter expertise) for current and future and current operations planning efforts and initiatives managed by INDOPACOM. Deliverables include: (a) WRSAI, (b) execution orders, (c) briefs, (d) draft new and update campaign orders, and (e) SOS for specific issues. The scope of said deliverables includes the following:

    a. Provide planning analytical support to support G-35 MAGTF planners in the implementation of the MARFORPAC Campaign Plan and Commandant’s Planning Guidance (CPG) and Force Design 2030.

    b. Using the Marine Corps Planning Process, design and frame planning analytical efforts in support of competition, crisis and contingency operations.

    c. Draft execution orders and prepare briefs to transmit planning efforts to higher, adjacent, and Marine subordinate commands.

    d. Draft new and update campaign orders - Support the maintenance and assessment of the MARFORPAC campaign order. Conduct blue force level planning for theater level exercises where MARFORPAC is part of the training audience like the premier INDOPACOM exercise PACIFIC FURY. Coordinate with and incorporate MEF priorities into staffing actions developed for COMMARFORPAC action. Synchronize effects across operations, activities and investments (OAIs) in support of INDOPACOM, Theater Joint Maritime Component Commander (TJMCC), and MARFORPAC objectives Assist in the development of a targeting process at MARFORPAC.

    e. Assist Operational Planning Team (OPT) leaders to lead planning efforts across the MARFORPAC staff in support of US INDO-PACIFIC Combatant Command, Theater Joint Force Maritime Component Command, Headquarters Marine Corps, and COMMARFORPAC directed planning. Synchronize staff actions and effects to achieve higher’s and MARFORPAC’s objectives. 

    f. Provide strategic and planning support for MAGTF operations. Associated Deliverables includes providing Exercise Planning Summary, After Action Reports, and Trip Reports.

    Required Skills

    • Familiarity with OPLAN/CONPLANs

    • Familiarity/Understanding of USMC MARFORPAC forces

    Required Experience

    • Must possess/ maintain an active SECRET Security Clearance
    • Former O-6 level command of Special Operating Forces or other MAGTF element (or other service equivalent)
    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of MEU operations.
