    The College of English Language is an accredited ESL school based in Los Angeles (Santa Monica) and San Diego, California. Our school caters to students’ from all over the world looking to improve their English language skills for personal, professional and academic purposes. CEL hopes that students’ experiences here have a long lasting impact on their future career and personal journeys.

    We are seeking a Student Ambassador to join our team in Santa Monica. In this role, you will communicate with students to identify their needs, process requests, and provide helpful solutions that ensure they have a great experience within our school. You will also aid our Student Experience Coordinators in occasional tasks throughout the work week. The ideal candidate is friendly, computer savvy, and is able to remain calm under pressure.

    Basic Responsibilities

    Receive a high volume of requests in person from our international students

    Refer to premade scripts for a variety of administrative topics

    Use best practices in student ambassador techniques to develop rapport and build relationships with students

    Document student interactions that require follow up

    Aid onsite students with questions regarding student life, academics, and general culture within the US

    Plan and execute occasional outings with students after school

    Use of Google Suite to plan large intakes, or specific requests made by supervisors

    All other duties as assigned by supervisors

    Qualifications

    High school diploma/GED

    Previous experience as a Customer Service Representative or in a similar role is a must

    Previous experience in an administrative position in a school setting, preferred but not required.

    Excellent phone and verbal communication skills

    Experience with international students is a plus

    Ability to work well under pressure

    Ability to solve problems effectively and communicate when help is needed

    Highly organized with the ability to prioritize projects and manage time effectively

    Google Suite experience preferred
