CALSTART has an immediate 3-month paid internship opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join our Fuel & Infrastructure Initiative. This position will support the CF&I team and report directly to the Lead Project Manager, ZEV Corridor Development. Our intern will play an important role in supporting the setup of a transformational regional transportation decarbonization project for success.
Additional ly, the Project Outreach Intern will:
Coordinate multiple stakeholders to decarbonize transportation corridors.
Manage contact lists and coordinate outreach to key project stakeholders.
Aid in developing a strategy for workgroup planning and coordination.
Identify and report on benefits and opportunities from partnerships, identifying tradeoffs, opportunities, needs for negotiation
Integrate community-first and Justice40-supportive priorities in workgroups and in Joint Statement to meet project purpose and aims, benefits and impacts, equity impacts.
Support program outreach by responding to and sending emails, sending out project notices, and project planning documents.
Create project planning documentation.

Qualifications:
Completed at least three years of accredited college/university level coursework pursuing a bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, sustainability, urban planning, communications, business administration, or other related fields.
Proficiency in project management across various stages of development and implementation (planning, execution, monitoring, and completion).
Knowledge or interest in transportation electrification industry and issues
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong analytical skills and ability to collect, analyze, and synthesize data
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in internal and external teams with a proactive, solution-oriented approach
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced remote work environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Minimum commitment of 10 hrs/week
