    CALSTART has an immediate opening for a highly motivated person to join our team as a Social Media Intern to support our Marketing and Outreach efforts. The intern will play an important role in supporting high-impact clean transportation projects. This includes the development and implementation of strategic social media marketing and outreach activities for Voucher Incentive Programs such as the California Air Resources Board (CARB) Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP) and the Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE), which are administered by CALSTART. HVIP and CORE provide financial discounts to California fleets who purchase clean medium- and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment and advance the commercialization of new innovative technologies to help California reach its air quality goals. In this role, the Social Media Manager Intern for Marketing and Outreach will support industry engagement, marketing campaigns, communication development, and community outreach.

    In addition, the Social Media Intern will

    • Curate the CCTU brand's social channels
    • Monitor, moderate, and respond to audience comments
    • Manage social media partnerships with other members/CCTU guests
    • Create and post shareable videos and images on CALSTART's social media platforms including YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn
    • Assist with digital marketing campaigns strategies planning and execution
    • Gather and analyze the data results from digital marketing campaigns
    • Collaborate with the design team to make illustrations and memes
    • Track traffic on social media and record and provide analytics on the content performance for the editorial team

    This is a paid remote internship position.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

    • Completed a least 2 years of accredited college/university level coursework pursuing a bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Journalism and/or Business Management or other related fields
    • Professional experience in outreach programs, digital marketing,  campaign development, and social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter and Facebook.
    • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and project management abilities
    • Demonstrate initiative and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
    • High proficiency in communications project management across various stages of development and implementation (planning, execution, monitoring and completion) focusing on collateral development, media campaigns, and online strategy
    • Ability to communicate program information to multiple audiences.
    • Experience with Photoshop and page design software such as Adobe InDesign is a plus
    • Experience with WordPress and other website development tools is a plus
