    CALSTART is hiring a Social Media Specialist to help develop our social media strategy. We work every day to create sustainable solutions across our major initiatives: Truck, Car, Light- Duty, Bus, Infrastructure and Marine. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of CALSTART's social media presence and our ongoing relationship with our digital followers and members.

    ADDITIONALLY, THE SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST WILL:

    • Collaborate with members of the Marketing and Communications team and other stakeholders to deliver social media content and campaigns; Responsible for planning and implementing CALSTART's social media calendar.
    • Monitor, listen, and respond to social audiences in appropriate ways to deepen engagement. Plan, schedule, market, track, analyze and adjust social content and campaigns to increase engagement with our existing; audiences and help us attract new audiences such as industry/community members, clean transportation issue experts, policy influencers, and decision-makers. Help, design, create, curate, and manage the best; content for all CALSTART social and digital channel.
    • Create, manage, and execute social media content plans—organic and paid—daily and for specific campaigns; Optimize content for social and SEO; Define relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), track, and analyze performance across channels, and making real-time improvements; Stays up to date with the latest social media and digital best practices and digital marketing trends, capturing and sharing learning.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • 2+ years of experience in professional social media
    • Demonstrate expertise in social media management, tracking, and analyzing.
    • Experience in B2B marketing or social media for public affairs
    • Ability to express complex ideas (e.g., technical, or research-based data) creatively and succinctly, including using charts, graphics, and video.
    • Ability to target specific audiences, such as policymakers and climate/transportation influencers.
    • Marketing and content creation for various social media platforms (e.g, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)
    • Bachelor's Degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience with project and social media management software platforms
    • Previous experience in a non-profit or government organization
    • Knowledge of or experience with clean transportation technologies, fuels, energy efficiency, and sustainability

    CALSTART includes the complete salary range amount ($62,000-$89,000) of the job announced. We determine pay based on education, experience, internal equity, and any other factors relevant to the job. Pay for this role will typically be from ($62,000-$68,000).
