    Job Description Field Service Engineer / Field Service Technician Houston, TX (Field-based-50% Travel) Direct Hire $85k-$110k/yr. Company HQ: San Diego, CA

    Company Overview: Our industrial design client in San Diego, Ca. specializes in the production of air pollution control systems for capturing particulate and gaseous emissions through advanced wet scrubbing technology. These systems cater to a broad spectrum of sectors including chemical, industrial, metallurgical, medical, and pathological waste treatment. Key system components—such as condensers, absorbers, quenchers, Venturi scrubbers, and wet electrostatic precipitators—are also offered for varied applications. All systems are innovatively designed in-house and brought to life by our trusted supplier network.

    Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to deliver exceptional maintenance and technical support for our products at customer sites. The role involves overseeing the installation of new systems, servicing existing equipment, conducting startups, and commissioning, and providing training to customers. The technician will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, particularly with mechanical and electrical components, including PLC and HMI equipment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Execute startup and commissioning plans for air pollution control systems.

    Inspect new equipment prior to delivery and provide technical support.

    Conduct training sessions for new and existing customers on operation and maintenance.

    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with industrial piping, valves, instrumentation, vessels, and

    structural steel.

    Complete OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training and ensure safe work execution.

    Prepare detailed field reports, communicate spare part requirements, and organize training

    materials.

    Qualifications:

    AA or BS in Engineering, Construction, or a related field, or equivalent service experience.

    8+ years of relevant experience in field service, preferably in industrial or engineering settings.

    Special Skills:

    Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for fieldwork.

    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

    General understanding of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface

    (HMI) equipment.
