The Pricebook Coordinator is responsible for working with the Pricebook Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the pricebook, coordinating the pricebook’s integration with other systems, such as point of sale and the accounting systems, and utilizing scan data and other pricebook data for reporting.
Determine and implement the set up and the procedures for the Pricebook and POS system. This includes retail zones as needed by the Sales & Marketing department, retail departments as needed by the Finance Department, naming conventions based on the needs of the Operations and Loss Prevention Departments, and POS attributes such as taxability, WIC and food stamps. Review Sales Department publications and communications to ensure that the information presented is consistent with information that has been entered into the Pricebook, accurate, complete, and properly formatted.
Receive and correct any store issues such as non-scanning items, incorrect retails, invoice entry issues; and make any necessary corrections.
Work with category managers and vendors to ensure that vendor information is received on a timely basis in a standard format. Work with vendors to electronically receive pricebook and invoice information. Maintain wholesale vendor retails on the web based systems.
Maintain cigarette, deli, meat, dispensed beverage, and commissary order forms, pricing, and inventory lists.
Manage all aspects of new item set-up, reporting for new items and programs, including limited tests and chain rollouts. This includes filling out new item forms etc
Work with the Accounts Payable department to research line item invoicing discrepancies.
Work with the Category Managers and the Pricebook Manager to ensure that the gross margin targets are followed for all new and changed items.
Produce monthly reports for the category managers and operations relating to category trends; and identify highlights and areas that need improvement.
Analyze promotional performance using available tools, and make recommendations regarding future promotions based on this analysis.
Work with category managers on providing information needed for yearly projections and bi-annual category progress reports.
Assist category managers in ensuring planograms are routinely updated based sales data.
Work with our wholesaler and the category managers to produce their order guide for the stores with items organized by planogram.
MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, Accounting, or Marketing.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Three to five years Pricebook experience. Experience in the retail industry with exposure to a retail category structure and retail reporting needs is preferable.
SOFTWARE SKILLS: High degree of proficiency with MS Office (Access, Excel, Outlook) required. Prior experience working with POS systems, retail accounting systems, and pricebook in a retail environment is preferable.
