Caregiver – Part-Time (Weekdays) Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee

Location: Franklin, WI 53132 Schedule: 4 days a week, 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM (3 hours per shift) Job Type: Part-time

Assisting Hands Central Milwaukee is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide support and companionship for a client in a home setting. The focus of this role is to ensure the client is engaged, safe, and comfortable while their parents are away.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and supervision during scheduled hours

Engage the client in enjoyable activities such as games (including Wii), interactive play, and entertainment

Assist with meal preparation and ensure safe eating practices with supervision

Provide support with personal care needs, including incontinence care (bowel and bladder) as needed

Maintain a safe and supportive environment at all times

Offer respectful assistance based on the client’s care plan and needs

Client Information:

Client uses a wheelchair and requires assistance with mobility support

Client is non-verbal and communicates through alternative methods

May require additional support with care routines and redirection during care tasks

Enjoys playing Wii, games, and interactive activities

Requires supervision during meals for safety

Qualifications:

Previous caregiving experience preferred but not required

Comfortable providing personal care and incontinence support

Ability to remain patient, calm, and attentive in a home care setting

Reliable, punctual, and compassionate approach to care

Willingness to engage client in activities and companionship-based care
