    Experienced Compounding Pharmacist

    Carolina Compounding & Nutritional Pharmacy is seeking a motivated, professional individual to fill the role of Pharmacist. The applicant would preferably have at least three years experience as a Pharmacist in a compounding pharmacy. A mature, professional individual is required to assume a position in the lab while working with other pharmacy personal. More details are as follows:

    General Definition The purpose of the Compounding Pharmacist is to oversee the activities in the Compounding Lab, grow the business and see that all legal and regulatory requirements are met.

    General Responsibilities

    Maintain all legally required logs, cleaning and testing requirements.

    Communicate with patients to obtain payment for prescription claims;

    Participate and oversee compounding of oral solutions, ointments, and creams;

    Prepackage bulk medications;

    Maintain an awareness of developments in the community and pharmaceutical fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrate them into practice;

    Sourcing, and purchasing of raw materials ensuring the best COG and quality for all compounded items.

    Weighing Raw Materials in accordance to the Batch sheet & procedures.

    Compounding products in accordance to SOPs.

    Accurately maintaining all documentation.

    Housekeeping and Material Handling.

    Confirm in-house availability of raw materials for current and next runs. Seek and understand schedule and demand plans. Coordinate with upstream and downstream processes by working with others in receiving, shipping, material replenishment to ensure availability of materials.

    Desired Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist

    PCCA Compounding training

    Professional demeanor;

    Ability to respect confidentiality of patient data;

    Strong communication skills;

    Courteous attitude;

    Understanding of medical terminology and calculations;

    Knowledge of computer operations;

    Knowledge of medication brand and generic names;

    Knowledge of insurance and third-party payment systems;

    Ability to adhere to all safety standards and wear and utilize all personal protective equipment

    Ability to adhere to all quality procedures and standards in the big batch, small batch and the shipping/receiving areas.
