Qualifications
- Therapist will be expected within six months of employment to receive the Integrated Mental Health/Addictions Treatment Training Certificate (IMHATT).
- NYS LCAT credential
- 1-3 years of experience in a clinic setting or at least two years of work experience a licensed mental health or substance abuse program
- Strong knowledge of new Article 31 regulations (Part 599) and best practices in clinic operations also required
- High degree of computer literacy is necessary
- Demonstrated expertise in recovery-oriented, evidenced-based practice
- Demonstrated experience with diverse adults receiving mental health treatment, including delivery of treatment to individuals with serious mental illness, functional impairments and psychosocial needs (homelessness, justice involvement, poverty, unemployment, poor education)
- Bilingual Spanish a preferred
- Competence with electronic health records (EHR) and paperless charting
- Must feel comfortable with developing a group curriculum and facilitating or co-facilitating group psychotherapy
- Must adhere to participating in weekly rotation for emergency phone rotation for crisis services during off hours
