Summary: You will be responsible for providing support to our Accounting Department. Your main responsibilities will be handling accounts receivable and payable, and other financial matters using our accounting system. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, close attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Assist with various accounts receivable tasks including, setting up new customers into QuickBooks, creating estimates, and invoices; taking customer payments over the telephone, and recording payments in QuickBooks
· Assist with accounts receivable collections.
· Assist with various accounts payable tasks including, communicating with vendors, scanning and mailing of vendor payments
· Maintain insurance compliance requirements. Maintain certificates of insurance for subcontractors.
· Perform additional responsibilities as directed by management.
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of professional experience in bookkeeping, accounts receivable or accounts payable.
· QuickBooks software and Collections experience is desired but not required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required,
· The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving abilities.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
· The candidate should possess strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
· The candidate must be able to pass a background check in accordance with applicable laws.
Pay: $18/hr. - $22/hr. DOE
Job Environment:
This job mainly involves working in an office setting, with limited physical activity. However, occasional filing duties may require lifting files, opening filing cabinets, and standing on a stool or bending as necessary.
Regular Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, with standard working hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. However, there may be times when longer work hours are required, and some degree of schedule flexibility may be necessary to accommodate business needs.
