** __** ** JOB SUMMARY**
This position is the backbone of the consumer and commercial banking experience, and offers hands-on client interaction by helping our clients with their basic financial needs. The teller meets the needs of customers by providing quality service. The duties and responsibilities will be determined by location.
Compensation will be based on experience for this entry level position.
SCHEDULED HOURS OF WORK
Part-Time Monday - Friday 11:30 AM - 5:00 PM
Saturdays 2 - 3 per month 8:15 AM - 12:00 PM
Scheduled hours weekly 30.
Float backup hours available. As needed, fill in for vacationing and or ill employees.
** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
Understand and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements associated with this position.
Customer service and communications skills. Greet clients as they enter the bank or drive up. Help them with their transactions or direct them to the person that can help them in a timely manner. Answer phones by third ring.
Accurately take deposits, cash checks, issue cash, prepare cashier checks, prepare In-house tickets, process loan payments, and redeem savings bonds.
Maintain cash balances in the teller drawer, vault and coin machines within established limits.
Scan transactions for processing. Process remote and mobile deposits. Scan all documents.
Promote Community Development Bank’s products and services when the opportunity arises both within and outside the bank.
Make accurate and thoughtful decisions by following procedures and policies. Understand when necessary to consult with Supervisor.
Assist customers with access to safe deposit boxes, debit cards, and Internet Banking issues.
Back-up Receptionist and float when needed for other employee vacations or illness.
Balance ATM Canisters, verifying cash supplied and remaining upon return from security service.
Process Canadian items in a timely manner and send to UBB.
Order customer checks.
Assist in review and verification of file maintenance and new/closed accounts.
Check Red Flag and missing CIP.
Assist with debit card ordering.
Make coffee, pop popcorn, maintain equipment.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent desired.
Current high school student acceptable.
Customer service experience desired.
Previous cash handling experience preferred.
