GENERAL SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, this role is responsible for managing insurance accounts receivable for Henry Ford Health (HFH). The position ensures the accuracy and completeness of patient financial, insurance, and demographic information in accordance with established policies and procedures, enabling compliant claim submissions to third-party payers. Responsibilities include resolving payer denials, following up on claims requiring additional payer response, and overseeing the billing and collection of payments across all HFH hospitals, outpatient clinics, and employed physician practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an office or healthcare-related environment
• Prior experience in a healthcare revenue cycle role (preferred)
• Completion of college coursework in accounting, business, or healthcare administration (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Knowledge of insurance guidelines and billing processes, including claim submission, denial management, and routine follow-up
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Understanding of CPT/HCPCS codes and revenue coding (preferred)
